Goose is a price comparison and routing service for money transfers between the United States and Korea. This page says what Goose stores, what it never stores, and who else sees it. The short version: Goose keeps the amounts and choices you make so it can show you what your transfers cost, and nothing that could move money.
What Goose never stores
- Bank account numbers, routing numbers, card numbers or any payment credential. These are entered only inside the provider you continue into, on the provider's own site or app.
- Government identification, addresses or dates of birth. Providers collect these for their own compliance; Goose does not.
- Your provider passwords. Goose never asks you to sign in to a provider through it.
What Goose stores, and why
- Quotes you view. Direction, amount and funding method, so the page can show routes. Without an account these stay in your browser only.
- Your email address, if you sign in. Sign-in is by a one-time link sent to that address; there is no password.
- Transfers you record. When you continue into a provider while signed in, Goose stores the provider, direction, amount, quoted fee, quoted landed amount, the mid-market rate at that time, and the time. When you or the receiver confirm what landed, that figure and time are stored too. This is what powers the Activity page and the cost history.
- Family schedules. If you set one up, Goose stores the name you give it (like "Mom"), the amount, direction, how often, the reminder time and your time zone, and links the transfers you send from it. That is how it reminds you and shows what you have sent and saved. Delete a schedule and it is gone; its transfers stay in Activity.
- Receiver links. A confirm link carries a random token that expires in 14 days and can be used once. The receiver sees the sender's first name, the expected amount and the provider. What they type is stored against that transfer.
- Usage events. Which screens were opened and which route was chosen, tied to your account if signed in. These are used to improve the ranking and the product, never sold.
- Continue taps, counted anonymously. When anyone taps Continue into a provider, Goose counts it with the provider, direction, funding method, an amount range (like "$1k–3k"), the page language and whether it was the best route. No account, IP address or exact amount is kept with the count.
Who else sees data
- Providers. When you continue into Wise, Remitly, WireBarley, Sentbe, Hanpass or GME, the link may carry the amount and currencies you chose and, where Goose has a referral agreement, a referral code. From that point the provider's privacy policy applies. Goose does not receive your transfer details back from the provider.
- Hosting. Goose's database and sign-in run on Supabase, and the site is served by Netlify. Both act as processors on Goose's behalf.
- Visit counts. The website uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page views. It sets no cookies and does not track you across sites; Cloudflare sees the page address, your browser type and your approximate country. The receiver's confirm page is not counted.
- Quote sources. To show prices, Goose's servers ask each provider's public calculator for the amount. Your identity is not part of those requests.
Goose does not sell personal data and does not run advertising trackers.
Cookies and local storage
Goose uses browser storage for your sign-in session and to remember your last amount, direction and funding choice. There are no third-party advertising cookies.
Retention and deletion
Transfer records stay while you keep an account. Sign out at any time from the Account page. To delete your account, use Delete account on the Account page on the website or in the app: your account, transfers, family schedules, receivers, confirm links and usage events are deleted immediately and cannot be recovered. Transfers you made stay with the provider you used, under its own records. Receiver links expire on their own.
Children
Goose is not directed at anyone under 18 and does not knowingly collect information from them.
